This Privacy Policy explains how Warby Prep LLC (“textgf,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses and protects information when you visit textgf.com or use the textgf texting service.
Information we collect
- Information you give us: your first name, email, mobile number, chosen style and plan, preferred texting times, anything you tell us about what you’d like to talk about, and messages you send through our contact or application forms.
- Your conversations: the content, date and time of text messages exchanged with your texter.
- Consent records: the date, time, IP address and browser used when you agreed to receive text messages, and the wording you agreed to.
- Payment information: handled by Stripe. We receive your name, email, billing status and the last four digits of your card, never your full card number.
- Website data: basic technical information such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected through server logs and cookies.
How we use it
- to match you with a texter and deliver your conversations;
- to bill you, manage your subscription and send account notices;
- to review conversations for quality, training, safety and compliance with our Terms;
- to respond to you and provide support;
- to protect the safety of subscribers, texters and others, including sharing crisis resources or contacting emergency services when we believe in good faith there is an imminent risk of serious harm;
- to improve our service and comply with law.
Text messaging privacy
We do not sell, rent or share your mobile number or text messaging opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We share mobile information only with the service providers that help us deliver messages (such as our SMS platform and wireless carriers), and only to provide the service.
Who sees your conversations
Your texter, their backup, and a small number of authorized textgf staff for quality and safety review. Texters see your first name and conversation notes, not your payment details or email address.
How we share information
We share information only with service providers who help us run textgf (for example, payment processing, SMS delivery, website hosting and email), under agreements that limit their use of it; when required by law or to protect rights and safety; or in connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, subject to this policy. We do not sell your personal information.
Cookies and analytics
Our website uses cookies needed to run the site and may use analytics or advertising cookies (such as the Meta Pixel) to understand visits and measure ads. You can control cookies in your browser settings.
How long we keep it
We keep conversation records and account information while your subscription is active and for up to 24 months after it ends, unless a longer period is required for legal, safety or billing reasons. Consent records are kept as long as required by messaging rules.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so please don’t send sensitive information such as passwords, card numbers, Social Security numbers or health details by text.
Your choices and rights
You can stop texts at any time by replying STOP, cancel your subscription online, and ask us to access, correct or delete your information by emailing info@textgf.com. Depending on your state, you may have additional rights; we will honor verified requests as required by law.
Adults only
textgf is only for people 18 and older. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; if we learn we have, we delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy and will post the new version here with a new effective date. For material changes we’ll notify you by text or email.
